CARE Pharmacies, Inc is a franchise of wholly owned and operated independent community and specialty pharmacies whose mission is to set and maintain high quality standards for pharmacy operations via communication and collaboration. Our goal is to provide and promote reliable support services and long term benefits to all stakeholders within the communities we serve.
CARE has built a strong foundation in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia area with over 50 owner operated locations. CARE is now expanding into new regions by attracting some of the most successful owner operators in the community pharmacy arena. Originating in 1960, the CARE Pharmacy brand has grown to be well known and respected.
Our unique services and arrangements are tailored to assist you, as a shareholder, in the success of your pharmacies. For this reason, if you are choosing to grow your business, it is essential that you do it with CARE.
As a pharmacist, you deserve the same professionalism and customer service that you work so hard to offer. At CARE Pharmacies – a pharmacist-owned franchise – we provide you with just that.
I have been involved with CARE for about 11 years now. I've seen CARE from different perspectives as a pharmacy student, a staff pharmacist, a pharmacy owner and as a member of the board of directors. CARE has gone through several changes over the years with some of those changes being good and some not so good.
I've always believed that being a part of CARE would result in benefits that other pharmacy organizations could not provide. I can now proudly say that CARE is moving in the right direction under the leadership of our current CEO Gerry Crocker and our current Board of Directors.
I remember that one of the first things that Gerry asked the board members as the new CEO was: What is your vision for CARE? My answer was that I envisioned CARE as an organization that would be so valuable and attractive that there would be a long line of people waiting and wanting to get in much like the line of people you see at the best restaurant in town on a Friday night.
I'm proud to say that I feel that CARE is on the path to being exactly what I envisioned. I feel good about the direction CARE is heading and I'm glad to be aboard this ship as it sails in to the sunset of success.
